Gopal Vemuri has extensive experience in the energy markets, from project acquisition to PPA negotiation and execution. He has raised more than $500M on funding for power projects with over 2.5 GW capacity, and determined pricing and strategy for over 500 MW of contracted capacity. He most recently served as Director of Capital Markets for Edison Energy, where he led the establishment of the capital markets division, launched an investment partnership with a multi-billion dollar IPP, and raised $50M in funding for investment in on-site energy solutions including CHP and battery storage.

Charlie has an extensive career in clean energy, power markets and energy finance. He has been involved in many areas of the energy business specializing in all aspects of project development, M&A, power markets and origination. Prior to Alturus, Charlie was a founding member of Geronimo Energy and most recently served as Managing Director at Altenex where he worked closely with Fortune 500 clients to deliver innovative and effective clean energy solutions to meet their unique needs.

Gary Reiff

Gary Reiff, PE, CEM, has over 30 years of experience leading the identification, development and implementation of energy efficiency and sustainable facility infrastructure projects. He has worked across many markets, including commercial and industrial facilities, municipalities, and universities to drive immediate energy cost reductions and increased resiliency. Prior to Alturus, Gary was an Engineering Manager for Johnson Controls and lead the development of over $100M in implemented projects for their customers. Gary’s expertise leading comprehensive upgrades and retrofits includes discovering, optimizing and implementing unique energy saving opportunities while building long-term M&V programs to monitor and maintain performance throughout the projects’ life.

Jeff Ottaviano

Jeff Ottaviano, CEM, has over 30 years of experience in the energy industry. He has organized and managed multi-discipline teams of professionals to strategically plan and design projects that enhance system infrastructure, reduce energy and water consumption, and generate on-site energy from traditional or renewable sources. Prior to Alturus, Jeff has held various project development manager roles for AECOM, Toshiba, Constellation Energy, Enron, and Johnson Controls.

Fred Polenz

Bio

Fred has nearly 30 years of experience in the energy industry, all within sales, marketing and operations. He has led sales origination teams and has been in direct sales of retail energy commodity, renewable energy, technical sales within energy solutions, and most recently has worked with the largest global energy users within the sustainable energy solutions segment. Prior to joining Alturus, Fred worked with ENGIE N.A. within its energy solutions unit, and has held senior leadership positions with Just Energy, CPower, Constellation Energy and others.

Nick Riva

Bio

Nick Riva began his career in infrastructure and project finance in 2010. He joins Alturus from Global Infrastructure Partners (“GIP”), a leading infrastructure fund with >$48 billion in AUM, where he focused on investments in renewable energy, power and transportation. At GIP, he led the investment process for a +320 MW distributed generation portfolio as part of GIP’s $1.4 billion acquisition of NRG’s renewable development and operations platform. Prior to GIP, Nick worked in the Global Industrials Group in investment banking at UBS. Nick holds a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Stanford University.
